Community Relations
In addition to our active forward thinking approach and the resultant use of industry leading technology and partners, CCNL stays firmly rooted in its local community operations and obligations.
As a stakeholder company in the oil producing communities of the Niger Delta, CCNL has been audited and as a result, granted the status of a Local Community Contractor (LCC). This status shows our recognition by the communities, as being one of their own, and as an integral company with capacity. This LCC status presents advantages and priorities to CCNL, allowing it work with IOC’s such as Chevron Nigeria Ltd (CNL).
Local Community Participation
We recognize the importance of local community participation in our operations. We understand that our success is tied to the success of the communities we operate in, and as such, we are committed to playing an active role in the development of these communities.
Our local community participation strategy is centered around three key areas: capacity building, knowledge transfer, and community empowerment. As a company hailing from the Niger Delta region, we have a special obligation to the communities in this region. We have
made a commitment to provide training and capacity-building programs to members of these communities, empowering them with the skills and knowledge they need to thrive in the oil and gas industry.
Community Empowerment
In addition to our capacity-building programs, we are committed to
transferring our knowledge and expertise to the local communities.
We believe that this knowledge transfer is crucial to the long-term
success of the communities we operate in. We work closely with
community leaders to identify areas where our expertise can be of
most benefit, and we develop targeted programs to address these
areas.
Finally, we are committed to community empowerment.
We recognize that the success of our operations is dependent on the
well-being of the communities we operate in. As such, we work with
these communities to identify ways in which we can help them to
achieve their goals. We believe that by empowering these
communities, we are also empowering ourselves, creating a mutually
beneficial relationship that leads to sustainable growth and
development.
